Project: 54 Pall Mall
This project involved the construction of foundations and basement works following the complete demolition of 53 – 54 Pall Mall a Grade II Listed building to ground level and working closely with the façade retention contractors.
We were then required to excavate below pavement level to form a reinforced concrete raft together with a basement structure ready for the erection of the steel frame. This project also included the cast iron underground drainage and pumping station to raise the outfall sewer and then a reinforced base within the basement slab for the erection of a tower crane. We then formed all of the basement walls together with the waterproofing of the basement structure using the tower crane.
The site was surrounded on all three sides by prestigious office developments and residential accommodation so access was tight and extra care taken to minimise disruption to the immediate environment and its residence.
