Project: George Road, Kingston on Thames.

City Basements are working at a private residence in George Road, Kingston Upon Thames. The property is a new build, five bedroom detached house, over four floors with guest accommodation in the roof.

The 350 square metre basement will accommodate a swimming pool, media room, wine cellar and gymnasium.

Works commenced to phase 1 in June 2009 and are scheduled to be completed in September 2009.

Our package involves the bulk excavation and construction of a 5m deep reinforced concrete basement, underslab drainage and the design and build of all temporary works.

The basement walls are being constructed using both traditional methods and the Peri ‘Domino’ system. The underslab drainage system is cast iron, with a 3.6m deep GRP pumping chamber and the basement slab is 400mm thick.

The Project value is £410,000 with a programme duration of 14 weeks.
