The basement ground reinforced concrete slab was 700mm thick made from 350mm of ordinary concrete and 350mm of waterproof concrete layered horizontally, this totaled approx 400m3 of concrete placed in one day using a concrete pump. The reinforced concrete walls were made with waterproof concrete. Holding down bolts were cast into the top of the basement walls to fix the structural steel frame installed by others.
