About Best Companies Awards
The Best Companies awards were established to identify the pioneering companies who strive for sustainable business performance.
The Sunday Times measure each organisation for their levels of ‘Workplace Engagement’ which is assessed by a company questionnaire and anonymous employee surveys. The scores are measured by employee feedback in eight categories; Leadership, My Manager, Personal Growth, Well Being, My Team, Giving Something Back, My Company and Fair Deal.
In addition to the Best Companies accreditation, the awards have a three tier star rating, one star for first class, two stars for outstanding and three stars for extraordinary star quality.
Of the 795 companies who applied for star status, only 55 companies achieved the triple star rating.
