Toureen Mangan have completed the 50m swimming pool at the University of Surrey

The 50m swimming pool at the Manor Park Sports Complex has passed the exacting tolerances of the Olympic Standards

Manor Park sports complex due to open in 2010 will be one of the country’s premier training facilities ahead of the London 2012 Olympics with its state of the art 50 metre pool.

All of the groundworks and civil engineering for the project has been carried out by Toureen Mangan under a subcontract worth £4.5 million for main contractor Willmott Dixon on behalf of the University of Surrey. The world class pool facility built in entirely watertight insitu concrete exceeded the exacting dimensional and quality standards imposed by the client thanks to meticulous planning and experience of the Toureen Mangan site team and remains the centrepiece of the facility.

In addition to the pool, Toureen Mangan constructed deep reinforced concrete foundations, carried out extensive earthworks, together with extensive access roads, car parks and associated drainage.
